Our school is very unique because we offer our K-8 students a rigorous, engaging, thoughtful education sprinkled with fabulous extracurricular activities that focus on healthy relationships and lifestyles .
We bring the world to them by using multimedia, having special guests, and doing hands on projects.
We have fantastic teachers who really connect with our students on a personal level and provide a safe learning environment. As a result, our students, families, and community members want to work hard alongside of us and we are consistently one of the top-performing schools in California every year. In fact, within our district we out scored every elementary school last year.
My Project
While these materials will not be used to explicitly teach information, it will help them by allowing them to concentrate better and to actively engage with others in the classroom while increasing their attention span. After all, who wants to sit in a chair all day when you can bounce? Last year I introduced buckets and inflatables to my students and they loved it. I do too because this year my students beg to use them instead of regular chairs as well. The only problem is that the bucket lid ridges chafe their skin and the inflatables pop. 4th graders are tough on things so I need sturdier options. The anti burst exercise balls on top of the tennis rings and balance discs are the perfect solution to our problem. Please help me provide these options to my students.
