Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
I teach two 4th grade math/ Steam classes. My class is filled with students of different learning/physical disabilities and many of them lack access to the technology needed to enhance their education. For most of them, the technology offered in the classroom is the only technology available to them. My students are creative, thoughtful, and full of questions! They absolutely love using technology, hands-on engaging projects, and challenges that will allow them to think outside the box to find solutions!
The ability to have technology in the classroom can make all the difference in my students' education.
Having the students be able to have a leveled playing ground will help create a more confident learner.
My Project
The materials and supplies that I am requesting for my students are to enhance the creative and professional environment. Each lesson that uses the items I chose will make the learning environment innovative and will encourage students to learn new things.
Having a creative classroom can really transform the way my students acquire education and how they apply it in their real life.
Creative expression will play a key role in my students' emotional development. My students will take science project presentations to the next level, make our STEAM projects enriched with technology and engineering, enhance signs that support the curriculum and presentation boards, all by using DIYing ideas. Having these materials will open up doors to creating presentations and raising the bar on projects that were only one-dimensional.
