Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
"Teamwork is the ability to work together toward a common vision. The ability to direct individual accomplishment toward organizational objectives. It is the fuel that allows common people to attain uncommon results." - Andrew Carnegie
This quote has inspired me as an educator.
I work with an amazing group of children who are eager to learn. I enjoy seeing the excitement in their eyes when we get ready to complete a science lab. My students come from diverse backgrounds which make them unique. Many of my students come from low-income families; however, they are the best kids on the planet.
My Project
Pursuing an occupation in STEM or becoming engaged with STEM at a young age, will open countless doors for a lifetime. As an educator, I feel it is my responsibility to provide my students with the every possible exciting opportunity to learn about the field. I am requesting a kit that will allow me to bring engaging STEM activities and real-world activities.
I am requesting 8 robots 125 colorful and durable classic parts and pieces.
With this kit my students will have the ability to build and code their robot. With this kit students will be able to design, construct, and customize their own LOZ robotic creatures. They will learn about the engineer design process. This will give them the opportunity to strengthen their critical-thinking and creative problem-solving skills and reflect on their entry’s performance and what they could do to improve it. I am also requesting batteries to be used after they construct their robots.
