Ms. Woods from Washington DC is requesting a class trip through DonorsChoose, the most trusted classroom funding site for teachers.
My students need tickets and jumper socks to access the trampoline park at Sky Zone. This is one of their last field trips before graduating from elementary school and we could really use your help!

I am one of those teachers who enjoys seeing their students daily! Every single day that we are in the classroom is never a dull moment. From a-ha moments in learning to observing their independence with struggling tasks, I can see that my students are growing academically. With graduation a few months away, they would like an opportunity to go to one of their favorite field trip locations, Sky Zone Trampoline Park!
I am going to miss my students when they graduate from elementary school in June!
But while I still have them in my classroom, and now that standardized testing is almost over, it's time for a celebration! We've already acquired the funding needed to get us to Sky Zone. Now all we need are tickets and jumping socks to access the facility! While the fee is not that much, it's simply a price that my students are unable to afford.
Now that we have accomplished securing transportation for this trip, we are in need of getting tickets. Funding this project will allow my students two hours of uninterrupted time to access the trampoline park and all of its features. When they want to take a break, they are able to utilize other areas of the facilities for video games and volleyball challenges. It's easy to see why they enjoy going to Sky Zone so much. The way I see it, why not have one last blast before they separate and journey to their various middle schools!
My students require several supports to get them through their educational day.
Participation at Sky Zone will give them a no-holds-barred approach to those supports! While I am with my students for the majority of the day, it doesn't begin and end with just me. I have a team of colleagues including a Speech and Language Therapist, an Occupational Therapist, and sometimes a Physical Therapist. We are hoping this trip will allow my students to tap into the additional components that make them great...their gross motor skills! Things that we may take for granted such as jumping, skipping, and running, don't always come easy for them. This particular trip will allow them the opportunity to go wild with their gross motor skills, but in a safe and structured way!
We are coming to the end of our three-year journey together. Sky Zone is one of their favorite places, and I have to say, it's becoming one of mine. With only a few months left until graduation, we are hoping to be able to jump for joy at Sky Zone!
