Help me give my students music stand carts to keep our room organized. We have over 200 stands and right now can only transport/store 25 appropriately.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Many of my students come from low income families and sometimes don’t even have instruments of their own. But they do not lack for talent. The band is widely recognized in Southeast Texas as a high achieving group, regularly earning first place trophies when we compete in contests and festivals. Not the least of these competitions are the annual marching and concert band contests organized by the University Interscholastic League, the main governing body for educational extracurricular activities in Texas public schools, in which the band also often earns top marks.
Another recognition of which we’re especially proud: We’re one of the top five bands in the country that are supported by Title I, the federal program that provides additional support to public schools with high populations of disadvantaged students.
They work hard in the band hall and in the classroom: I’m very proud that this year, the top two students in the Class of 2019 are two of the marching band’s student leaders. Since I have been in Texas, I have been blown away by my students dedication and hard work to keep striving for the best that they can be.
My Project
These carts will help us tremendously. Having such a large program is a blessing and a great challenge all at the same time. With more carts we will be able to store our equipment more efficiently and transport gear with an easier time. We can be found all over Houston and the surrounding area performing often.
Having access to more stand carts will in turn help our students to be able to focus on more important aspects like performing, rather than moving equipment.
Each year our school plays host to numerous concerts and festivals having dozens of bands participate. Access to these carts will help improve everything we have on and off campus.
We do not get adequately funded by the school district, and unfortunately rely a lot on fundraising efforts to maintain what we have to offer our students.
