My Students
Teaching is and has been a privilege and a challenge. Each year you are introduced to diverse learners with whom you get to meet, cultivate and challenge their young minds. You get to see growth from the beginning of the year to the end.
Playing outside helps children to develop their learning abilities.
Outdoor play is great for encouraging children's creativity. There are numerous health benefits to playing outside. Organized play strengthens social skills and helps foster team work which is helpful throughout life.
My Project
At Devonshire Elementary, we have lots of open space for students to utilize during recess. These outdoor focused activities will afford students the opportunities for organized play. Sports foster relationship building. Various choices for activities will give students of all abilities opportunities to participate.
Exercise is good for the heart and mind.
It helps students focus which is great for staying on task in the classroom. Students who normally don't interact during recess, will now be able to interact together as they will be playing as a part of a team. I know the students here at Devonshire Elementary will love and benefit from these additions to recess time!
