Who's on First?

My students need baseball gloves. These students have never been able to have a baseball unit at our school. We currently have 25+ students in each class. A spring baseball unit would be perfect!

My Students

My students are very hardworking and enjoy PE. This is my third year teaching at this school, and I would love to bring more to the table and show them different ways to have fun while being active. PE is a class most students look forward to going to. They get a break from sitting in the classroom and are able to get their energy out.

Every day my students come through the door excited and ready to exercise.

It puts a smile on my face knowing they enjoy coming to PE regardless of what is going on in the rest of their lives. A lot of my students come from military families. This can be very hard, especially if one of their parents is gone part of the year. They know that no matter what, I am here to lead them in the right direction.

My Project

Our elementary is in need of baseball gloves. Spring is right around the corner, and there is not a more perfect time to bring out those gloves and baseballs to get us ready for the season!

My students have been asking for baseball gloves for the past few years, and I would love to see their faces when I hand them to them for a new unit!

They have been working on their throwing and catching techniques with a dodge balls we have previously received, but I would like to add in the baseballs to be able to catch a smaller type of ball using a glove. I feel like adding baseball is something that is very important to me, especially when expressing my love for the game!
