As a first year ELA/Social Studies teacher, it's my goal to provide my students with the necessary materials to enhance their academic abilities and facilitate their comprehension. I have a diverse group of students from military families that need a welcoming and supportive classroom environment. My students are faced with many challenging circumstances that pertain to military life including family separation, transitions, and other life changing events, which ultimately have an impact on students' academic performance.
My students love learning and flourish when given the opportunity to try new things.
I believe in providing them with a safe place to grow and giving them all the necessary resources to accomplish this!
My students truly enjoy learning about innovative and creative individuals that have changed the world. We need the book series "Who Was" so students can continue learning through non-fiction books about the people that continue to inspire us!
I want to give my students access to even more books that will encourage their love of knowledge!
Some of the influential people explored in the Who Was nonfiction set includes Mozart, Ben Franklin, Anne Frank, and many more! My students would each be able to pick out one individual to do a nonfiction book report on. We can't wait to get started so we can share our amazing work with you!
