My students need two flip digital video cameras to record their Spanish performances.

I teach Spanish at the high school level at a recently opened charter school focused on closing the gap between the academic level of low-income community students and college requirements.
The school I work for was established recently and we are missing a lot of equipment that will improve my teaching and my students' progress in Spanish.
Having two video cameras will allow us to videotape their performances and later see themselves in order to observe weaknesses, make improvements, adopt other students' strategies, etc. My students have just finished a project related to the topic "Television programs". In groups the students had to prepare a skit on a T.V. game show. I was able to borrow a video camera from a friend and record the students' skits. I downloaded the digital files tn my computer and the following day I was able to show the different skits in different classes and comment with the students on strong presentations and what made them strong and should be adopted by others.
By providing this class with the video cameras, you will be helping my students to improve not only their Spanish skills but also their ability to speak in public, present projects to an audience and self-evaluate and self-assess their performance. At the same time, by being able to digitally videotape and store students' presentations, students will be able to look at models to follow and problems that they need to avoid or work on. This skill will be fundamental for them to succeed in future college level presentations.
