My Students

My classroom is full of diversity, with students coming from all over the world, including Ghana, Croatia, Puerto Rico, Brazil, and Vietnam. My fifth-grade students benefit from learning about each other's culture and being empathetic to one another.

This shared learning is what makes my classroom special!

Building upon each student's strengths only makes the classroom learning environment stronger. My students are multifaceted and multidimensional, so should their learning and with technology moving at the speed of light, my students need every advantage to keep up!

My Project

Having Chromebooks in a classroom full of inquiring minds will allow for different structures of learning in my classroom. Students can research topics of study, create multimedia presentations, while staying ahead of the technology trends.

Students with limited access at home can still achieve success by having "the world" in the palm of their hands.

My project will make a difference because students shouldn't be limited to textbooks, or be limited to outdated information. My 21st-century students should be using 21st-century technology!

Our classrooms are not yet at the level technologically to meet their needs as learners. This grant will help to close that gap just a little bit more.
