My Students
Our community school is very diverse where many backgrounds and languages are represented. For most of our students, English is not the primary language. As a result, our students face challenges both in and out of the classroom. Despite the challenges they face on an everyday basis, my school is always looking to provide our students with meaningful learning experiences.
As Albert Einstein said, "The only source of knowledge is experience." Learning needs to be an active process.
It is my goal as an educator to help my students not only reach the next reading level, but to keep my students motivated to learn.
My Project
Technology is up and coming in this day and age! As a result, to be able to add an iPad Mini to our classroom will help my students learn in a number of ways. Having an iPad for my students to use would allow for differentiated learning within my classroom based on needs. This iPad would serve as interactive tool in learning.
By adding this technology to our room, this would allow one more student access anywhere in our classroom to the online reading and math programs our students are required to use by the district.
In addition, I would also download apps for various math and reading skills. In all, this iPad will help prepare students for the future.
