Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Dr. Seuss said, "A person's a person, no matter how small". My first graders are young people eager to share their big ideas. They will benefit from this set of writing materials such as whiteboards, notebooks, and pencils because it will greatly enhance their motivation and eagerness to write and share their fabulous ideas in our classroom community. My students are special because they have so many good ideas to share and write about every day. My students look forward to being life-long learners just like the famous Dr. Seuss who we love.
My Project
Whiteboards will help my students expand on their writing ideas as they practice the steps of writing every day. The boards are a tool that help us eagerly get started with our writing. We have fun writing to other students in the school, to our families, our teachers and our classmates.
Pencil sharpeners, paper, pencils, whiteboards and other writing materials would be very helpful for my students as I teach them the fundamentals of writing and build upon that for larger writing projects like our class books.
My students love writing their own books and classroom books. My class is tender-hearted and looks forward to writing a class book about kindness toward others. They have bulldog pride that is hard to hide!
