Help me give my students snacks they will eat and plates to eat them on. Many of my students have different dietary needs and Ritz crackers are ones of the main items that all of them prefer.

My Students

Many of my students come to school from diverse backgrounds and have special needs. They love new materials and exploring the world around them. The majority of my students are English Language learners and come from low-income families. These families have limited access to quality materials in the classroom and at home.

In our township, seventy-eight percent of our students receive free or reduced price lunches.

They will be thrilled that they will have access to quality foods to meet their nutritional needs at school.

My Project

Part of the daily routine in my class is to have the whole class sit down together and have snack. Many of the students have different dietary needs and preferences, and it is difficult to get the children to participate when there are not adequate snacks available. In addition, I always send home food that I know the children will eat. We will use the paper plates to serve the snacks and help contain the students' food as they eat and are sent home.

I have to spend my own money to fill this need, or rely on the generosity of the parents of the students in my class.

This is also difficult, because many students come from low-income families.
