My Project
I love the individuality of the students who attend our school. They arrive in different shapes, colors, and sizes and also fill the building with smiles, laughter, and joy. Their levels of intellect vary, but they are all filled with happiness and love. They each deserve a pat on the back, or more, when caught doing something well.
There is a reward system in my classroom which includes snacks, prizes such as toys, and school supplies. Depending on the level of success, a student may get one Skittle, a pack of Skittles, or an opportunity to pull something from a prize box. If I notice a student using the correct fingers on the keyboard during typing lessons, he/she may get a gummy worm. If a student scores 100% on an assigned activity, he/she may earn a bag of crackers. A student may get the chance to select a prize after achieving a goal or winning a class competition. All students love rewards, and having a nice collection of candy, snacks, toys, and school supplies is just what we need to help motivate them.
