My Students

I am an Education Specialist, getting to work with amazing students who have special needs. Our inclusion model allows students with special needs to be in their grade along with their same-age peers. I work alongside our general education primary level teachers, as we co-teach. This allows students to socialize and practice academics, communication, and socialization with age-appropriate peers.

My Project

We're working, but are we learning? As students work at their seats, safely distanced, it can be difficult to know if they're catching all that we're throwing out at them. With whiteboards, students can solve a simple math problem, draw an illustration or model, and even practice spelling words and writing simple sentences.

When teachers can see what their students are doing, they can offer constructive criticisms and reteach when necessary.

Help our students and teachers get the opportunity to see if learning is happening exactly as it should, or if we need to offer more help. Help us get whiteboards that offer a blank side for drawing and working math problems and a lined side for writing words and sentences. Our students need these to ensure their success.
