”You can have all the talent in the world, but without determination, you won't get very far.”—Malorie Blackman
My students make me smile and laugh every day with their BIG personalities.
Between my reading and math classes, I teach twenty-three students at a Title I school in Maryland. My students are diverse second graders who love gathering together on the carpet to hear stories, share connections, and expand our knowledge.
I strive to make our classroom into our second home. This year we will be learning virtually. I want to be able to provide my students with all the material they will need to be successful at home!
My Project
During this pandemic, my second-grade students will be learning at home until at least the end of January. I am hoping to be able to provide each one of my students with their own whiteboard, a few markers, and an eraser. Whiteboards are an item that is used many times a day in our normal classroom. I would love to carry this routine into their home environment.
Having a whiteboard will allow students to continue to practice their handwriting, spelling, and math skills while they are at home.
Students will be able to hold their whiteboards up to the camera to show me their work and ideas.
