My Students

My school is located in Polk County, Florida and we are a Title I school. This means our school has many students who belong to low-income families. My class is a diverse group of exceptional learners, who are eager and ready to learn!

Our class is a family and my students care and look out for one another- I truly love this about this classroom!

My classroom has creative builders, scientists, technology wizards, magicians, and explorers in it.

My Project

My classroom needs a set of individual whiteboards to keep at each student's seat and to be used during small group rotations. With these whiteboards, we will be able to complete and practice assignments in a group setting, and the students will be able to hold up their answers for the teachers to check. This will be great when teaching a new concept and checking for understanding! My Kindergarten students will practice their writing of letters and numbers on the boards. These whiteboards will give us more opportunities for more than one student to participate at once.

My students are very visual learners.

Having two large visual timers in the room will help ease the students into transitions (in the classroom and outside the room). These timers will allow students to prepare for a transition/change in their day.
