While my students come from different ethnic backgrounds and varying home lives, when we are together, we are a family with the same goals and aspirations of bettering ourselves. The 30 fourth graders that walk into our classroom every morning are full of joy, excitement, and a passion for learning about this great big world.
It is my aspiration to guide them in the proper direction, opening up their minds and their worlds to new ideas, concepts, and experiences, and allowing them to discover who they are as individuals.
My Project
Often times, we break into differentiated groups, where students work on assignments specific to their own levels. Having an additional whiteboard in the classroom will help very much with these rotating centers. Especially when we have a co-teacher for ESL or diverse learners, this will allow for both teachers to be able to lead a lesson without having to share whiteboard space.
Visuals are very important to student learning, this mobile whiteboard will provide access to visuals in various spots in the classroom.
Colorful bins will help stay organized by providing useful storage areas underneath the easel. Dry erase markers are always drying out and being used up, having plenty of these will ensure there are always tools to write with. Lastly, magnetic erasers help keep them from being misplaced or lost.
