My students are independent and collaborative workers. These desks will allow my students to move around the room to work collaboratively with other students, along with moving away to work independently.
The desks are also able to be written on, which helps with organizing their work space.
Right now my students need their computer, and a white board and/or notebook, which creates a lot of distraction in front of them. Having a white board desk they are now able to eliminate some of the this distraction and focus more on the math since they are able to write right in front of them without shoveling their materials around to create work space.
Students are also able to have their own personal space. Right now four students share a table and they are often times stating the person next to them is in their space. These desks will allow them to have their own space and and when needed to, they can connect with other students' desks to work together.
