My students need the Brinsea Automatic Egg Incubator to give us a hands-on example of the life cycle of a chicken.

My Students

My students are excited and curious. They like to do things that are fun and interactive. Most of them prefer to sit on the floor or in groups to work. The class is part of our Accelerated Learning Program. These children will work at a faster pace with the use of curriculum compacting.

My students LOVE projects!

We are implementing new and exciting ways to learn in our classroom this year. The children will not do traditional activities that involve sitting at their desks with worksheets. My students this year will learn how to work independently while I facilitate the learning. They will also learn to work in cooperative groups to develop a project.

My Project

My class is hoping to receive this new Egg Incubator and candler to enhance our life cycle unit. We spend several weeks in the spring learning about plant and animal life cycles. Most of my students have only seen eggs in the grocery store. They have not had the opportunity to visit a working farm. By having this incubator, my students will be able to see the life cycle of a chicken come to life. They will learn the difference between the eggs you buy in the store and the ones that contain the baby chickens. Hands-on learning rocks!
