My students need one Acer Notebook to continue having interactive lessons.
This project expired on August 16, 2011.
Hooray! This project is fully funded
I remember the first time I used the computer and LCD projector in class many years ago. It was so exciting to hear the "whoa, that is so cool" from the students.
Students today don't know anything other than technology and are so much more focused when they are involved in the lesson using technology.
I teach 6th grade Science and a 7th and 8th grade CSI class. We have zorbs (digital microscopes) that the students love and many other resources that donors like you have so generously provided for us.
Now, we need your help again. We have been using a laptop computer and LCD projector for every day lessons and interactive activities on the Internet, but the computer is in dire need of replacing. Without a computer, our lessons will be less than effective and completely non-interactive for the students. The old, traditional teaching strategies just aren't going to cut it with my digital natives who are used to, attentive with, and very successful with technology in our classroom.
With your help, our classroom can remain a thriving, interactive learning environment.
Financially, this computer is a little out of my reach personally, but with your help to knock the cost down some, I can bring it home the rest of the way!
