Where Will Our Robots Play?

Help me give my students robotics competition fields that will allow them to practice in the same situation they compete in, as well as give all students opportunities to complete robotics challenges with various robots.

My Students

Our campus was designed around project-based learning from the ground up. My students get many fantastic opportunities to learn and apply real world skills.

Problem solving is one of the most important skills students can practice to prepare for their future.

Giving students open ended problems is the most valuable way to challenge students and engage them.

Coding is a great tool for students to learn problem solving skills. Using robots to demonstrate code gives students an opportunity to see their code in action.

My Project

These pieces will be used to put together competition fields for Lego Mindstorms robots. These robots need flat, even surfaces to properly navigate the playing field and get consistent movements from the commands. This project will give all of our teams the chance to use the competition fields without being restricted to a short time.

These pieces will also be used in my Innovation Lab (Computer Lab) for student-designed challenges and tasks with the large assortment of robots that are in my classroom.

This project will give students the flexibility to create many different playing field configurations to fit their needs.
