Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
I am lucky enough to work with an amazing group of scholars who make the most out of their everyday learning. My students are kind, positive, and motivated to learn. The 6th graders in my class come to school each and every day, with a positive attitude, in an environment where they are expected to be respectful, and responsible, and ready to learn
Bright, curious, motivated, strong, these are just a few of the words that come to mind when describing these awesome beings that I get to call my students.
All of the scholars in my class come from different socio-economic backgrounds and ability levels. Yet in our class, we are all equal. When we walk through the doors, we are a team, and we work hard to lift one another up so we may all find success, even if that looks different for each student.
My Project
In 6th grade, we have the great opportunity to learn about Ancient Civilizations! We get to be Pharaohs in Ancient Egypt, honor Zeus in the Greek Olympic Games, and learn all about Hammurabi's Code of Law! One of our favorite units, is learning about Ancient China!
Help us bring Ancient China to life with the gift of "Where the Mountain Meets the Moon."
This novel will help us to understand Ancient Chinese myths and culture. It will help us to celebrate diversity and tradition. This gift will help us to love learning and instill a lifelong love of reading into each one of my amazing students!
