Help me give my students a world map and flags to identify all the countries represented by our students. Also dolls from around the world to connect with different cultures.
As supporters of lifelong learning, our preschool and per-kindergarten staff serves 3, 4, and 5 year old children on the west side of Indianapolis, Indiana. Many of our families live in poverty and 59% of our children receive special education services.
We support the idea that our children should know where in the world their peers are from and show on a map where they and their families were born.
Our children come from a variety of ethnic backgrounds. Our staff provides family programs throughout the year to continually support families in many ways. Many of our families work in low-income jobs.
My Project
Our preschoolers serves many families who come from many countries throughout the world. We want to have a map in our lobby for our children to mark the places where our families come from.
We want to show children how we are all connected as a preschool family, yet have many different beginnings.
This helps our 3, 4, and five year olds and their families, learn about other countries and also to see how it's fun to be in a classroom with children whose families are from all over the world. We need a world map and flags to to show all these countries.
