Where In The World?

My students need 14 atlases for a visual representation of the physical, political and thematic regions of the world in order to understand patterns and processes of a globalized world.

My Students

How do we find ourselves in this globalized world? Students in our high school share their learning experiences with others whose families have migrated from many regions of the world. Map skills developed in Human Geography give them a context for their questions.

Our high school is the largest in our district.

Students are fortunate to have the opportunity to build learning communities with each other in order to broaden their understanding of the world at large. The many different industries represented in our city bring families with unique backgrounds together to develop strong educational systems for their children.

My Project

The Hammond World Atlas that we are requesting is a student favorite when we investigate the physical resources available to states; the political neighborhoods that exist on the planet; and the interdependence within and between regions of cultural groups.

Help us learn about the planet that we all share!

Students who understand the broader relationships between geographic regions are able to achieve a much deeper understanding of the relationships between the people who experience each other in global economic and cultural dependencies. Much thanks!
