My students need a classroom roller map with a dry-erase surface.

It is difficult to study current events when you don't know where they are occurring. You can help my class learn about current events by buying us a classroom map.
Every day my class of global ambassadors begins their day by watching CNN Student News and discussing events that are happening all over the world.
For most of my students, my class is their first exposure to what's happening in the world outside their community. Growing up in Baltimore, many of my students have spent their entire lives without ever leaving their state, or even their community. As their teacher, I have been working to broaden their horizons and we have been working together to explore the world as we discuss current events, the history that has shaped them, and the international laws that govern our world.
Even though current events are our favorite part of the day, the locations of the events we discuss are often unfamiliar to my students. With the maps you help us purchase, my students will learn to accurately identify the locations of events we discuss in class. The maps will also be a valuable tool as my students research and present news stories that relate to documents our class studies in depth, such as The United Nations Declaration of Human Rights and United States Constitution. As we examine the history of human rights and human rights abuses, my students will be able to use their new maps to accurately identify the locations where these events occurred as they gain a more thorough understanding of the role of law, national and international, in their lives.
Many of my students are unfamiliar with how to read a map and lack an understanding of where many countries, such as Russia and the United States, are located in relation to each other.
With the maps you help us buy, my students will be able to identify the locations of events we discuss in class as they critically examine the history of human rights and how human rights influence their world.
