Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students come from a low-income/high poverty area. The majority of them face daily challenges to meet their basic needs. Not only does the school help by providing breakfast and reduced or free lunches, but it also gives free uniforms to those who need it.
My students are wonderful, imaginative, and inventive students.
They are the entrepreneurs of the future, the tinkerers of the world. They are engineers, scientists, writers, and artists. They have so many ideas, but no means at home to allow them to bring their ideas to fruition.
My Project
My students love to scrapbook. We use the scrapbooking activities as meaningful writing activities and also to keep track of the things we've done through out the year. For every special activity we do I take pictures of them and print the pictures so they can add them to their writing on a scrapbook page. I have to do that for every student, so now the moment has come where I don't have any more paper for the next activity.
This project will fulfill the need of printing and scrapbook paper.
This project will give my students the chance to continue recording our activities in a fun way and also will also motivate them to keep writing.
