My Project

I teach STEM to all of our students ranging from K to 5th grade. We are a Title I school with over 85% of the students eligible for the free and reduced-price lunch program. These children are at many different intellectual and ability levels ranging from gifted to special needs. I want to make sure that all of our students are given positive experiences and opportunities in my classroom that will help them realize their potential and prepare them for the future they deserve.

There have been many times when students are building marble runs and working on the magnet boards in the floor when pieces drop and roll on our brightly colored, patterned rug.

It makes it very difficult to find all the parts when it is time to clean up. I want to use this Flex-Space Comfy Rectangular Classroom Carpet in a solid color to minimize frustration while students are looking for those dropped pieces. The detailed patterns in the rug they use now cause small pieces to get lost or even vacuumed up at night.
