I am a reading teacher and interventionist in a wonderful school in Wisconsin. My students are exceptional, and I love going to school every day to see the sparkle in my students' eyes. I also get to connect with students of various ages during and after school. I truly have the most special job in the world and treasure every day with my students! My students love to read, pretend and imagine. They are curious and love to learn! We all participate in learning every day. They love so many fun activities throughout the year, and we hope to add even more. My students are amazing!
My Project
After years of hard work and training, I am a teacher in a brand new intervention classroom, and I am so excited! There is nothing more special than helping students who want to learn to read, and who might need just a little extra help. My students are such hard workers and they come into class every single day with such a positive attitude. When they accomplish their goal, they are extremely excited, and the whole world is opened up to them. They fall in love with reading and are so proud of what they have accomplished. I love the opportunity to work with my students so much and am working hard to create the perfect learning environment for them.
I am designing a classroom for my amazing students, many of whom struggle with dyslexia and/or other reading difficulties and working with these wonderful kids is a dream come true!
One thing that we desperately need is storage! I am hoping to get some wonderful, solid birch, storage units, and enough colorful storage totes to hold supplies for each of my students. The storage totes I am asking for are beautiful primary colors, so they will make our classroom so bright and cheery. Even better than that, is the fact that each storage tray is just the perfect size to hold student papers, books, and all of their Orton-Gillingham hands-on supplies. These storage units and trays will help us out so much. The students will be able to walk right in, grab their colorful storage tray, and jump right into learning with a smile!
