it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Hi! I'm Misty, a Resource specialist. I service children with special needs. Their needs may vary from ADHD to Autism to ED (emotional disturbances). My students find difficulty in learning. I put forth love to provide a learning environment where students can achieve academic success.
I love despite the challenges my students face, they muster courage to persevere.
It's beautiful to see them grasp what was first a struggle. They keep me on my feet. They motivate me to learn new ways to service them best.
My Project
This project will provide students with materials and energy needed for academic success. They'll have confidence knowing they have their needed materials. In turn they'll engage more, work independently and complete more work. Some students have trouble focusing due to hunger. The healthy snacks I selected will boost their energy as well as brain power. The snacks will also be used as a tool to teach the banking system. Students will have check books. They'll have opportunities to earn fake money and purchase snacks while balancing their check books.
Alot of my students come from low income families.
The families have difficulty providing overall basic needs such as housing. This project will help provide over 18 families with learning necessities for their students.
