Our high school media center is always abuzz with students, some working on computers, some working at tables. They work hard at their academics, bring a can-do attitude to sports and clubs, and bring heart and positive energy to the activities that make this school a close-knit community. They especially love hands-on learning activities.
Our students need a maker space to tap into the talent and energy they bring to everything they do!
A variety of learning games and activities will provide a personalized experience for all students, challenging everyone to grow.
My Project
The resources I have chosen speak to all academic levels, offering all students a personalized experience. Games such as Bananagrams promote group-play while supporting quick-thinking and vocabulary development. Rubiks-cube and similar puzzles can be done independently or in pairs, supporting team work, logic and visual analysis.
Games and buildables challenge students to apply their skills in exciting ways to real-world activities in a fun way.
Having a hands-on space in the library will give students a chance to develop and improve creative and problem-solving skills in a way that will enhance classroom learning. Students will have the opportunity to try activities that will challenge them, individually or in pairs or groups. These resources support both academic and social development.
