My students need 2 Tabletop Communication Centers, and heavy duty take-home folders to organize information and promote parent-teacher communication in the classroom.

Fourth grade is a time of change for our kids. They are no longer "babies" and want to be treated like adults. Unfortunately at this age, most kids have not yet developed the communication skills they need to keep their parents informed about school and classroom activities. This is why teacher-parent communication is so important.
My fourth graders are creative, bright, and love to talk!
Although they love to talk, my students often struggle with day-to-day parental communication. This is how you and I can make a difference. These children are on the path of maturity, but they still need my assistance to direct and encourage the flow of communication to and from home. It is my goal this year to create a classroom scenario that will improve teacher-parent communication with the families of my students.
With your help, I'll be able to provide an organized method to distribute and gather information to parents, so they will have more information regarding school and classroom activities. I believe parental communication plays a vital role in the students' engagement and success at school.
These resources will provide the tools to promote and maintain communication with parents throughout the year!
The Tabletop Communication Centers will provide the students and me with a common area to consolidate and disseminate information to and from parents.
They are perfect for sharing class newsletters, school announcements, homework, and any other student-parent information.
Kids can be rough on student materials, especially if they are being carried back and forth from home on a daily basis. The heavy-duty plastic take-home folders give students the way and means to get the information home. These centers and folders give everyone easy access to important information!
