My Project

This year I have a great group of students that love school and love learning new things. My students come to school each and everyday ready for their next learning adventure. However, we are sometimes hit with extreme weather that makes it hard for us to attend school, whether it is tornado season or snow and ice. When we are hit with these threats, my students feel a range of emotions.

When my students feel scared or overwhelmed by what it happening, I feel I need to reassure them to keep them calm.

For this project, I am requesting a printer for making colorful reminders and inspirational poster to help my students cope. The label maker, beanbags, and bookshelf will be used in our room to give them a place to feel safe after the bad weather. I am hoping that these resources will help my students to feel safe and secure when we are threatened by severe weather.
