This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are an amazing group of fun, hard working special need preschoolers who are in a public school setting between the ages 3-5!

I do my best to create and support a welcoming classroom where students come in ready to start their day with excitement and anticipation of what they will get to see, touch/feel, and hear which together compounds their learning.

They are supported in their ability in learning how to communicate, socialize and play cooperatively with others.

My Project

Through dramatic play, students can build necessary skills to make them a successful student! Children must work collaboratively to act out different play opportunities, for example setting up a pizza shop students will have to think, plan and act out the different aspects of a pizza shop. Children will have opportunities to create various roles within their play. Through creating play-based opportunities, students will connect with their natural, kinesthetic ways of learning.

Through dramatic play, students can build vocabulary to increase their communication skills with their peers, teachers, and families.

They will learn important skills of sharing and develop the much needed social development for young learners.
