My Students

My students are very active 5 and 6-year-olds who need a lot of movement all day long.

My students are typical 5-year-olds, they are eager to learn, willing to take risks to improve learning.

I teach in a school whose population is changing. At my school we have a culturally diverse campus population which adds a wonderful richness to our school. The socioeconomic status is changing. We are in an area greatly impacted by the economy. Some of our families are unemployed or underemployed and have been for a while. My students are very bright kids who love to learn.

My Project

My students live in a world with touchscreens. Every year I spend a lot of time teaching my students how to use a mouse, as this is the what our computers use. These four touchscreen chrome books will allow for my students to use apps and websites to enhance their reading and math skills. They will also helps students to publish their writing projects. Touchscreens are also more kid friendly for Kindergarten. Students will be able to use a variety of apps to showcase their learning in a variety of ways from written, video, Google slide, Prezi and so much more.
