What Teachers Want: Teachers Pay Teachers' Gift Cards.
Help me give my students new and exciting lessons that teachers have created with today's standards and methods in mind. By providing me with gift cards I can ensure seemless distance teaching.
This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
I teach students in the 7th grade. These students all come from the poorest of neighborhoods in the Greater Baton Rouge area. Many are from broken homes and several have told me that their parents are in jail. Often they are shuffled around from foster parents, grandparents, and siblings' homes, and I have seen that some carry all of their belongings with them in their backpacks. These kids need something to help them realize that they can reach goals they haven't even imagined. I want to give them exciting lessons on U.S. History that will spark their interest in becoming a good citizen.
My Project
I will use these gift cards to purchase teacher-made lesson plans and materials to engage students, conform to state specific standards, comply with distance learning restraints, and actually TEACH students.
By providing me with gift cards, I can choose exactly the lessons, tools, and projects that can enhance the students' learning opportunities.
I want to provide my students with multilevel, varied and exciting lessons that can bring history alive for them. These lesson plans, project materials, and classroom decorations will work to make learning history fun.
Only real teachers can provide these tools! Thanks!
