My Project

Teaching Technology in a poverty-stricken area is difficult due to lack of resources. Integrating technology in education equips students with essential skills for the modern world. It fosters digital literacy, critical thinking, and problem-solving. We are requesting clickers, gel pens and more. Additionally, access to online resources broadens their knowledge base, preparing them for the demands of today's technology-driven society.

Our district deals with endemic poverty and natural disasters, such as tornados and ice storms.

These natural disasters come through from time to time and leave us in situations where our students experience severe loss. Imagine already not having the means to get everything you need and then experiencing a loss that leaves you with less than the bare minimum. It's unrealistic for all my students to have a quality pair of headphones to last an entire 9 weeks let alone the entire school year. This project will allow me to get quality headphones for each of my students to use with our computers along with other supplies that will make my classroom more inviting, exciting, and tech-savvy. This project will help promote self-confidence, pride, and purpose to students who otherwise lack these attributes. I want my students to become "change agents" for their community leading the way through technology. Thank you so much for supporting this project!
