Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
The students I serve come from a variety of different backgrounds. Some have challenging circumstances at home, and all are battling the struggles that come with adolescence. I have the privilege of molding little boys and girls into men and women with vision. These are scholars who will make a contribution to society, despite the zip code they grow up in. They are scholars who will not be intimidated by their socio-economic status, but instead, see it as empowerment. They are scholars who will fall in love with math and hopefully, pursue a career in the STEM field.
My Project
Thanks to some generous donors, my students received a printer a few months ago. Our gratitude continues because the printer has allowed us to maximize our instructional time by having the materials we need ready every day. As these months have passed by, however, our continuous usage of the printer has made our ink run low.
Really, what is a printer without ink?
Funding of this project will allow my students to continue enjoying prepared materials at a timely manner. They will also benefit from the stations and activities I often create that require me to print materials for my students. Thank you for giving so that my students the resources they need!
