Please help our students by enhancing their learning through technology integration.
Our students are from a middle school that is facing more and more financial hardship.
Donations are down and unemployment is up. With less money to work with and an influx of more students in our school, we are struggling to maintain quality learning environments. Despite the struggle, our students are doing their part to contribute. Many students volunteer and help run school-wide beautification. This has positively impacted school spirit both among the teaching staff and the students.
My Project
The requested computer will be utilized within a special education environment and among many of our peer leaders. This functional piece of equipment has a large screen and will allow students the ability to use a traditional keyboard and mouse or alternatively operate by using the HP TouchSmart function. The earphones will allow sound to be played without distracting other students. Our school has available software for teachers to enhance science, math, and language arts. However, with our current computers breaking or running too slow or in some cases so old they do not support the current software it becomes difficult to use technology as an educational enhancing tool. The amazing device will make that potential a reality.
