What Happens When You Give a Teacher What She Needs?
Help me give my students classroom storage. I am requesting two large storage cabinets for efficiency in my classroom.
Hello, my name is Mrs. Keller, I teach Pre-K and Kindergarten students in a unique public Montessori school which recently opened in 2018. I marvel at my students desire for knowledge. They devour learning like it’s cupcakes! They are in the beginning stages of reading and writing. Writing seems to be a calming, creative process for them. In fact, they would write uninterrupted for hours if allowed to.
My students also enjoy math, nature, science, art and crafting, often, they can be found crafting things for each other, creating a spirit of kindness and community among themselves.
It’s amazing to see the good-will expressed between them. As you can imagine our start-up school has a lot of needs. My students and I appreciate any help you extend to our classroom, thank you in advance.
My project will solve logistic problems for my school, my classroom, and my car. Our school is a work in progress, it is a newly refurbished older building that has been beautifully updated but is severely short on storage space. This creates problems in my Montessori classroom where having space to create works and store materials is a requirement. Right now, I have materials all over, including the trunk of my car, because there is just not enough space to store it all.
If a teacher gets what she needs, who knows what will happen; there are plenty of statistics representing what happens if a teacher doesn’t.
Please help me give me students a greater chance for success with needed classroom storage units along with the fun learning materials they also need.
If funded, my classroom will have beautiful storage which in-turn will create flow and efficiency for creating new Montessori works and storage for materials not in use. Goodbye over-crowded closets, hello, open highways of space!
