Help me give my students motion as we take a trip to learn about Force and Gravity!

My cross-curricular 5th grade classroom is an exciting place full of inquiries and experiences. Despite coming from a low-income school district and other challenges, my students are eager to learn and explore. As a product of this district, I understand firsthand what it is like to be a student in a low-funded school and that's why I would like to make their experience in the classroom a pleasant and meaningful one. Unlike any other classroom, my students are my passion and I believe they deserve the best.
"An investment in knowledge pays the best interest"- Benjamin Franklin
The students are eager to learn and always strive for excellence. I strive to make the classroom a fun, yet meaningful experience.
We want to give our students a THRILL with a trip to Six Flag Education Day as they learn about Force and Gravity. Not only will they an authentic experience with rides and experiments but this trip will allow students to observe the mechanics of world-class thrill rides. While there, students will share their background knowledge of gravity and how it affects an object. Also, as a closure student will be provided with an opportunity to develop writing skills by completing a field journal of their experiences and observations.
THE SKY IS FALLING!!
In addition to the field-trip students will design and conduct a test to modify the speed of a falling object due to gravity by constructing a parachute to keep an attached object from falling.
