So many times my students want to know how to spell a word or they ask what a word means. I am a new teacher at Albany Lower Elementary and I teach second grade, so I do not have very many resources. I would like to receive a class set of children's dictionaries. Having a class set would allow me to teach my students how to look up words to find the meaning or spelling. Dictionary skills are quickly being lost as a result of the Internet. I think it is important for all students to be able to use other resources. I have 22 students and I would like to have enough for each child in the class. The skills that can be taught using a dictionary would benefit every student in my class. I hope you will consider my request.
