What Does Fairness in the Classroom Look Like?

Help me give my students the learning supports they need. Education is about equity not equality!

My Students

I teach students who come to school everyday eager to learn. I teach students who are prideful of their work. Each one of my students come from diverse family backgrounds. The population that I teach are English Language Learners and students who express diverse learning needs. All of my students receive free breakfast and lunch. The district that I proudly serve is representative of the African American community & Hispanic/Latino community. I serve a low - income and high needs district. Therefore, I would like to be able to provide my students with all the supports and materials necessary to fit each one of their individual learning needs.

"It takes a village to teach the child" and I am sure that with your help we can continue to strive for better and succeed!

My Project

Students in my classroom have diverse learning needs. In order to provide my students with the most inclusive environment, I maintain all my students' needs a top priority.

To provide a nurturing classroom for my students they need to feel safe, welcomed, accepted, and respected, no matter how that looks in the classroom.

Flexible seating is an opportunity for students in my classroom who need additional stimulation to help them focus on their learning. This is especially true for students in my classroom who show hyperactivity and impulsive behaviors. I believe with the use of flexible seating my students will benefit greatly!

Thank you in advance for your support!
