Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
I teach a group of very eager sixth-grade students in an inclusion setting. My students have diverse learning needs. We have been implementing the common core standards into our lessons. As their educator I strongly feel it is my responsibility to create lessons to help all of my students succeed.
I teach in a high poverty area.
My students are competing with wealthier school districts. It is very difficult to obtain funding for learning materials that will help differentiate instruction and meet their different learning styles. They are very motivated to learn.
My Project
I have students that will be taught a whole class lesson and have difficulty understanding a concept. I will differentiate the lesson to help them gain understanding. I researched learning materials that would greatly benefit my students. It will provide them with additional reinforcement. Also, it will help them gain ownership of their learning.
Your generous donation will help my students meet their educational needs and gain confidence in their learning.
