Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

I am a second grade teacher at Chicago International Charter School - Bucktown Campus. I am passionate about children's literature and integrate books into every aspect of my curriculum and my teaching. I would like to be able to display books that are about the subjects that we are studying. For example, when we are studying about the Civil War, I would like to display all of the books that I have pertaining to the Civil War. A book display will spark the interest of my students in the various subjects that we are learning about and will give them easy access to authentic literature.
