This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
I have two wonderful classes of second grade students! However, different this school year may be, they are still excited and eager to learn! They enjoy hands on activities and love to work in centers. This year has made it very hard to share center materials. We really don't want the kids all touching the same cards, folders or games. So we are in dire need to make more of these so that each child is able to have their on fun experience in learning. Most of my kids come from low income homes as we are in a low income area and a Title I School.
My Project
These materials will make a huge difference in my class. The color printer and ink cartridges will allow students to print off the centers they need help with. Students will be able to have their own individual centers and not have to share with another child. These will be able to go home with them in case of quarantine. It is a wonderful way of learning. It allows the children to get away from screen time and is a helpful alternative to book work. These items will be greatly appreciated.
