My students need 6 Boomophone Whack Packs (one per team) to learn about lots of things: scales, pitch, dynamics, melodies and harmonies.... Boomwhackers are even a great tool to use in STEAM lessons!
My students are Pre-K through 5th grade - they are excitable and enthusiastic and lots of fun! Teamwork and cooperative learning is a huge focus of our school, and music is a great team builder! Though we are not a fine arts school, we do our best: giving regular performances on campus and in our community. In addition to their love of performing, my students love LEARNING new things about music!

All students at our school, pre-k through 5th grade come to music class on a rotation. We enjoy ukuleles, recorders, drama, percussion, xylophones and all kinds of fun ways to make music.
My Project
We are looking for 6 Boomophone Whacky Packs - one pack for each team in music class. Each pack comes with 8-count set of boomwhackers (colorful pitched pipes), a pair of mallets, a book of music and a holder to keep the boomwhackers in order when we pay and safe when we put them away.
Even the littlest students can play the BoomWhackers and benefit from some great music lessons, charged up with STEaM activities!
With the colorful tubes at different lengths and pitches, we can talk about how tube length affects pitch, we can match notes on the boomwhackers to notes on the staff, we can play and create lots of music together - all kinds of fun opportunities! Boomwhackers are great for hands-on learning, and are accessible to every age and level of musicianship.
While every grade will enjoy the Boomophone Whacky Packs, I'm especially excited about bringing these to the kindergarten - second grade. The boomwhackers are easier to manipulate than some of our other classroom instruments like ukeleles and recorders - these get everyone in on the fun!
