My first grade learners love expanding their knowledge through the use of hands-on materials and movement.
Their little personalities shine when they are able to learn in creative ways and actively participate in daily learning.
When they are able to explore with their hands, they not only enjoy learning but gain concrete understanding through authentic experiences.
My students cherish activities that allow them to be mobile and work with their friends or teacher. They love to talk and share their ideas.
My Project
My students need mentor texts to help teach them social skills and kindness. I have selected books that teach important life skills including making wise choices, empathy, making friends, etc. All of these are important skills for first graders to acquire.
My little learners will fall in love with book characters all while learning important social skills that will help them be successful as they progress through school.
The scissors pack will replace our old/broken ones. The other art supplies will help foster creativity and give students more choices when selecting art materials. My students learn best when they can express themselves freely. The Plastic organizers will be used to hold community group supplies.
