This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
Help us keep our computer lab in perfect condition. We need new headphones to listen to the math and reading programs on the computer. The laminator will help to preserve the materials we use to learn our math skills.
My students are in grades K-5.
They are smart, energetic, and very interesting to observe. They attend a Title I school. The students enjoy working on the computer and I enjoy seeing them learn new things. They get excited when they learn to solve problems, as well as read words, numbers, and letters of the alphabet.
My Project
My students need 10 headphones and a laminator to post their pictures on the wall, make certificates, and preserve frequently used materials. These materials will allow students to hear information clearly on the computer without disturbing other students in the classroom. Students get excited about learning in a bright and colorful classroom. They enjoy seeing their pictures on the wall, as well as using charts and graphs to help them learn and study mathematics.
Funding this project will allow my students to continue to work quietly and process information in a colorful print rich environment.
In the computer lab, students work in a Math program that exposes them to many different types of Math lessons. Many times it is difficult for them to understand how to complete the problems. Instead of textbooks, I use the walls and the tables to provide reference materials. The graphs, charts, motivational materials, and examples help the children very much!
