Help me give my students winter hats and touch screen gloves so that they can keep warm as they walk to school or wait for the bus in the cold.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My high school students come from many different backgrounds, with transfer students throughout the year. They have come to us from not only the entire city but from the entire world. As a sanctuary city, some students have not ever been to school before or came from refugee camps. For some students, school is the warmest, most loving place they know.
Despite all of the challenges whether it is from poverty, violence in their neighborhood, or learning challenges, our students show up and do the best they can each day.
The walking radius for our school is two miles. In rain, snow, darkness, cold and heat our students walk to school.
My Project
I would like to buy hats and gloves for my students for this winter. The students often have to wait for an extended amount of time outdoors. Sometimes it is waiting for a school or city bus, sometimes it is waiting for the school to open but it is mostly when they are walking the two miles our district requires for walkers.
The students cannot learn if they are not present in school and weather plays a big role in this if you are a walker.
With all of the other challenges they face, i would like being cold in winter, not to be one of them. The students often do not have the proper winter gear and I am hoping to provide that this year.
